| OUR MISSION

SHOULDER THE LOAD

Weight of War began with one bloke in a weight vest and a pair of budgy smugglers, taking the piss out of himself to raise a few bucks and shine a light on a heavy issue. It's now a national movement.

The vest is the weight our veterans carry long after the uniform comes off. The budgys are the vulnerability it takes to speak up and ask for help. We're veteran-led and proudly grassroots, founded on a simple principle: a good man protects others.

| WHO WE SUPPORT

FOR THOSE WHO SERVED
AND THE FAMILIES BESIDE THEM

When the uniform comes off, too many veterans are left isolated, without purpose, and without support. We stand with:

Transitioning ADF Veterans rebuilding purpose in civilian life.

Veterans' families who carry the weight alongside them.

First responders who face the same battles after service.

| WHY THE VEST & BUDGYS

EMBRACE THE DISCOMFORT

The vest represents the weight our veterans carry every single day. The memories, the sleepless nights, the internal battle. When you put it on, for a moment you get physical feedback on what they carry daily.

The budgys represent the vulnerability it takes to say, "I'm not okay." Using classic military dark humour to force a serious conversation, proving that while we take the mission seriously, we never take ourselves too seriously.
